Santa Clara, Calif. – March 9, 2010 – The Physical Security Interoperability Alliance
(www.psialliance.org), a global consortium of physical security providers focused on promoting
the interoperability of IP-enabled devices, will showcase various PSIA-enabled products,
including video surveillance, access control and intrusion detection, during a technology
demonstration at the 2010 ISC West Conference and Exhibition in Las Vegas.

Leading IP device manufacturers including Texas Instruments, UTC Fire and Security – A
United Technologies Company, Arecont Vision, Milestone Systems, IQinVision, Synectics,
Hikvision, GeoVision, Everfocus and Cyber Group will showcase solutions that leverage PSIA’s
IP specifications, which enable disparate products to communicate without costly and timeconsuming
integration. This event, which is open to all ISC West attendees, will be held on
Thursday, March 25, 2010, at 3 p.m. in the Sands Convention Center.

“This technology showcase demonstrates the progress we have made over the past six months in
reaching our goal of developing specifications that enable an entire IP solution,” said Roger
Richter, Chairman of PSIA Systems Working Group. “The steps we have made with all of our
protocol and data definitions is truly significant, but the ultimate standard of interoperability is
only achieved when all the pieces of the security ecosystem work together, without custom
integration, in a cohesive fashion.”

The development of IP standards and specifications offers numerous benefits to every
stakeholder in the industry. Interoperable IP technologies ease complex installations for systems
integrators; enable end users to select best-in-class IP security products, regardless of brand; and
lessen the burden on manufacturers to develop customized drivers.

“PSIA continues to make significant strides in not only developing specifications but garnering
additional support from all sectors of the industry,” said Robert Hile, Chairman of PSIA. “This
technology demonstration will showcase our efforts and we look forward to welcoming the
industry at large to view the benefits of IP standards at our event at ISC West.”
